Lyrical Smoke is a monthly event put together and hosted by Tulsa Native "Dismondj" for local artist to come do they thing on the Mic. "I try to spread as much love as possible by keeping fresh new faces on the rosters." The home base venue is Soundpony Lounge where the love is endless. Hope to see you at future events. Indy Pot is a movement whose purpose is to create a platform for independent artists in the growing hip-hop community of Tulsa. With compelling interviews that range from music, to social issues, to fashion. Indy Pot has steadily gained notoriety for breaking new music as well as introducing new artists to the world.

  Founded in February of 2016, Indy Pot’s creators Keezy and Jeremy Ellis have been pushing the culture forward with their visual contributions as well as their influential commentary. From the very first interview with Tulsa legend Young DV, to a very powerful interview with David Banner, Indy Pot has shown its ability to cover a broad range of artists as well as topics as well as putting together some of the most memorable events.

Many refer to her as the Queen of Oklahoma Hip Hop. She’s earned the title by intentionally being active in the scene for years and always making herself an available resource for artists in the community. Desiree Yearby, aka Dezz, aka Dezzgotsteeze staked her claim as a cultural ambassador at the age of 16 when she joined The Puzzle People collective. Since then she’s gone on to produce fashion shows, host various musical events, manage social media, and serve as a consultant to some of Oklahoma’s most influential creatives. Dezz doesn’t stop there with her diverse set of interests. She flexes ​​her skills for local publications including her own site (GotSteeze.net) where she focuses on hip hop in the Midwest and creating community between in the hip-hop community in the entire state and only female speaker on Oklahoma Hiphop Podcast (Tha Rap Podcast). In addition, she contributes serving on a slew of advisory boards aimed atbenefiting the youth of Oklahoma City and serves on committees of many Oklahoma Festivals such as, Jabeepalooza, PlazaFest, and World Culture music festival.

The Cypher 120 Friday

Cypher120: Experience originally began as an open mic/ open jam session originating in Tulsa, Oklahoma on a frigid winter night in February of 2013. An idea created and curated by Written Quincey, was formulated to provide the city’s bolstering underground arts scene a platform to express and articulate its passion. Poetry and Jazz establishes the foundational vibe of the Experience adopting the spirit of two of the most influential artistic movements in the history of our young nation, The Harlem Renaissance of the 1920’s and the Golden Era of Hip Hop, 1980’s.

The musicianship of African and Latin American instrumentalist comingled with Gospel, Blues, Rock and Roll and the before mentioned Jazz and Hip Hop compose the spirit of Cypher120: Experience which is truly a melting pot of fusion. Designed by artist for artist to encourage a community in Tulsa of networking, support and encouragement, we make up the soul of the city. Respect!
